Auditions, rehearsals and classes are held at various locations:

These are open auditions. Please email us at chmbibletheater@outlook.com or call us at 217-407-3022 to sign-up to audition. You mustcomplete the audition form in order to audition for any of our youth or adult plays.

AUDITIONS
Auditions are always open for our plays and skits. If interested in auditioning, please click on the audition button and complete the form. Please bring the form with bio and headshot to the audition or you can email it. Audition forms will also be available at the auditions for walk-ins.
REHEARSALS
For our large stage play productions, most rehearsals run weekly between 4-6 months prior to the production date.
The location may vary but usually occur at churches, theaters, public library large rooms, elegant ballrooms, or other locations.
For our mini productions and skits, we will have about 3-4 rehearsals 2-3 weeks before the performances.
Please review the rehearsal schedule and let us know if there are any conflicts in the dates/times. We are flexible and will work with your schedule. You do not have to be present for all scenes. Each scene will run for about an hour excluding 2 weeks prior to the performance. However, at our scheduled tech and dress rehearsals, all cast members must be present.

BIBLICAL SKITS
For our biblical skits, they will involve the youth and adults of ages between 5-80. Auditions for these skits will be held at a later date and goes on throughout the year. Upon request, we will provide Biblical skits for various churches, nursing homes, schools, colleges, and community or special events.
INSPIRATIONAL PLAYS
For our inspiration play & skits, participants will get an opportunity to participate in our plays presented during various seasons.
PERFORMANCES
Our large stage play productions are presented annually in various communities at selected venues. Upcoming Fall performances TBD.
YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS
We provide youth training and development programs for various communities by allowing the youth to audition and participate in our leadership programs. We also provide arts and theater programs where the youth get to participate in art projects as it relates to the play. The rehearsals are designed to help the artistic youth in a variety of ways. They develop oral presentation skills, public speaking skills, leadership, working with teams, and gain social skills. It also helps to build self-esteem, and confidence and provides a positive environment for young adults looking for an outlet to express their creativity. This training provides them the opportunity to showcase their talents on stage or virtually, improve their artistic skills tremendously, and can create jobs one day. We provide a variety of art, acting, youth development, and leadership classes in our Summer Art & Theater programs which usually runs from June-Aug annually.
Students also get an opportunity to gain community service credits and meet other students just like them.
